RKM Fireworks shooter training
Unfortunately the Shooter Training and 1.3G demo is canceled for 2021. We are working on a live stream event for the consumer demo. Please follow us on facebook for the lastest updates.
RKM Fireworks will be holding our spring training Saturday April 25, 2020 at the Elkhart 4-H fairgrounds. It will be a full day event. Registration will start at 8am, class starts at 9am, and we will be ending the day with a 1.3G and Pro Line product demonstration at dusk (approximately 8:30pm).
We will be offering PGI certification again this year. The PGI Display Operator Certification (DOC) Course, or PGI Course, is designed to meet the need for both a "Basic" course in Fireworks Display Safety and as the first step in an optional Certification Process, which when completed, results in the successful trainee becoming a PGI Certified Display Operator. More info in the benefits of the course can be found at the PGI Website.
The class is $80 per person, which includes textbook, lunch, and dinner. There is no charge for just attending the demo. Please RSVP by April 10th by sending an e-mail to amanda@rkmfireworks.com, or call 269-663-6110.
We will also be having a 1.4G Consumer Fireworks demo Friday April 24th at dusk (approximately 8:30pm). Brands we will be demonstrating are Dominator, Mad Ox, Happy Family, Winda, and Shogun. If you plan to attend, please bring your own seating as we will be out in the parking area. There is no charge for attending the demo.
One of the requirements to become a PGI Certified Display Operator is to participate in the live-fire portion of the PGI Display Operator Course. Students should be prepared by bringing to class their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Per NFPA 1123 - 2010, this includes: Head protection, eye protection, hearing protection, foot protection (closed-toe shoes) and cotton, wool, or similarly flame-resistant, long-sleeved, long-legged clothing.
The fairgrounds address is:

We will be in the Ag Hall. Here is a map of the grounds. It is next to the "Sea Lion Splash
